Thomas and his two brothers were members of the King's household. In 1445 he was the King's sergeant & purveyor of sea fish. He traveled about to the English coast and Flanders to import fish and seafood for the King's household. In 1456 he was appointed Contoller of Customs at Ipswich, Suffolk and received similar appointments
for London and Sandwich.
